Profile of Associate - Sunit Prakash

With almost 20 years in the business, Sunit has extensive experience and knowledge in building, operating and optimizing technical service & support organizations of technology companies in the Asia Pacific region.

Headhunted from IBM New Zealand to set up the support operations in Sydney for Baan Australia, Sunit was promoted to take on Asia Pacific responsibilities as their Director, Support Operations Asia Pacific Japan (APJ).

At Baan, Sunit implemented their global 24 hour "follow the sun" support model and also lead the APJ support organization through a very successful Lean Transformation program leading to Best in Class customer satisfaction results. He has developed a time tested model will help you plan strategically, devise a business plan, and help you take it through execution to achieve your objectives.

A leading proponent of Lean Transformation, Sunit has recently been assisting an icon name in Singapore in their process to improve their service efficiencies.

In late 2006 Sunit completed a 20,000 km odyssey around Outback Australia by 4 wheel drive. If you are looking for someone whose path and thinking is outside of the conventional, and yet tempered by pragmatism, Sunit is your man. The lessons for surviving in the bush are the same as for surviving in the business (route planning, vehicle preparation and setup, quality, navigation, training, risk mitigation, recovery gear, natural hazards, team morale & execution to name a few).

Sunit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Masters degree in Management Studies (Marketing). He is married and enjoys spending time with his son, traveling, sailing, following cricket and ham radio.
